  • If the validity of your passport is near the expiry date, which is 10 years for adults and 5 years for minor passport holders.

  5. Go to "View Saved/Submitted Applications" and book an appointment at your preferred Passport Seva Kendra (PSK).
  6. Download and print the application receipt with the Application Reference Number (ARN), then visit the PSK on your scheduled appointment date with the required documents.

Follow the steps mentioned below to apply for a passport renewal process offline. 

  1. Visit the official website of Passport Seva. 
  2. Go to the Forms and Affidavit section and download an application form. 
  3. Print out the application form on an A4-size sheet and fill it with all the correct details. 
  4. Go to the District Passport Cell and submit your Indian passport renewal application with all the required supporting documents. You can also get the renewal application directly from the District Passport Cell.
  5. Once you have submitted your application with all the documents and photos. You need to pay the required fees for the Indian passport renewal application through a Demand Draft (DD). 

After successful submission of your Indian Renewal passport, you will get an Acknowledgment letter which includes the application file number. It will help you to track the status of your Indian Passport renewal offline.

How to Schedule an Passport Renewal Appointment?

To schedule an appointment for the Indian passport renewal, you need to follow the steps mentioned below. 

  1. Go to the Passport Seva Portal and log in to the portal. 
  2. Choose the 'view saved and submitted application section ', and click on the pay and schedule appointment' option.
  3. Select the preferred date and time for attending the scheduled passport renewal appointment.
  4. Pay the fees for the appointment booking through the demand draft (DD), credit card, debit card, or net banking.
  5. Once your payment is done, you will get the option to print your application receipt. On the receipt, you will get the appointment details and the application reference number. Through the application reference number, you can check the status of your passport renewal application.
  6. Now, you need to go to the Passport Seva Kendra with all the supporting documents and photocopies for the appointment.

Documents Required for the Passport Renewal

Documents for the Adult Passport Renewal Application 

  • Your old passport. 
  • You need to provide a Non-Objection certificate.
