No, OCI cardholders don’t need to register with FRRO for any duration of stay or extended stay in India. The cardholders are exempt from registering with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office. They are entitled to a lifetime visa for visiting India but they need to notify the FRRO via email if there is any change in their permanent residential address or occupation.
