Yes, an OCI cardholder can apply for the national pension system in India also known as NPS. The eligibility to apply for NPS for an OCI is the same as an NRI (Non-resident Indian). The National Pension Scheme provides several benefits including tax benefits, various investment options, reliable pension schemes, etc. However, the NPS tier II account is not available for an OCI cardholder.
