What are the New Foreigner Registration Rules?

2. Visa Holders with Stay Restrictions 

The new rule also applies to foreign nationals of Indian origin with a valid 180-day visa or for more days, but your stay in India should not increase for more than 180 days in India. 

In the new revised foreign nationals' rules, all foreign nationals who need to stay in India for more than 180 days need to register within 14 days before the expiry of their visa. This is mandatory to continue staying in India.
