OCI Card Reissue

An Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card is a long-term visa that allows holders to make multiple entries into India. With an OCI card, you can stay in India for as long as you want without needing to report to any higher authority. While it provides lifetime entry into India, please note that it is a document that will need to be renewed after a certain period. OCI card reissue meaning refers to that you have to apply to renew it for some reason. You can get it reissued, and there could be several reasons for that.

When to Renew Your OCI Card?

There could be many reasons why you need to reissue your OCI card. You can see here in the list:

  • In case there is any change in your details, like a name change after marriage, or anything.

  • It should be renewed when you get a new passport or when there are some changes made to your passport.
  • Applicants aged 50 need to update their details online with no physical requirement.
  • If there is a change in nationality, then you also have to renew your OCI card.
