You can apply for a normal and tatkal passport in India. How long does it take for a passport to be issued in India? The standard processing time for a normal passport is 30 to 45 working days. If PVR is required, you will have to wait longer. Additionally, if you have applied for a Tatkal Indian passport, it will take 7 to 14 working days without PVR and 30 days with police verification.
