No, US citizens who hold a valid passport do not need a visa to enter France for a minimum of up to 90 days within 180 days. Your passport must have a validity of at least three months after your departure from the Schengen Area. The France Government doesn’t accept the 12-pages US emergency passport as a valid travel documents for traveling visa-free. However, from the start of 2025, US citizens might need an ETIAS for short-term stays in Franc and other Schengen Areas.
