Both documents are accepted whether it is digital or physical copies in the OCI /visa/passport application because both depend on the requirements and preferences of the applications. Digital copies are online documents that can be uploaded in a PDF format or scanned on the other side physical copies refer to the physical documents which is submitted by a person-to-person or to an application center.
